Sailor Procolor Series 500 Sakura Fine Point Fountain Pen

Looking for some feedback on this pen. Is it a good one?

I really like the look of it.

I have one of the "Seasons" pens, which I believe is the same pen. As much as I like Sailor pens, I had to work with the nib quite a lot to get it to flow; in other words, it did not write well right out of the box. I watched some tutorials by Stephen Brown on how to fix the nib and was able to fix the problem, but still...

The fine point is VERY fine (as some folks say, it's more like an EF). I like it well enough, but I don't like it as much as the Clear Candy pens I have in terms of it being a writer. On the other hand, if I could find the Violet one for a good price, I would probably buy it.

I have a Fasciner which I think is nearly the same pen build. My other sailor is a 1911 Large Realo. The Fasciner steel fine is a little dry and a little scratchy for me. I am confident a little alignment and smoothing can fix it, but next to the 1911 I don't get a lot of "sailor-ness" from it.

It's not a bad pen, it looks nice and everything, and it's not too scratchy, but you can feel it on the paper to a higher degree, than say, my Metropolitan.
