    Default Good Blotter Paper

My wife bought a ream of Xerox Extra Bright Multipurpose paper for me to try my pens with. It was terrible, far too absorbent. But, that very quality makes it an excellent blotter paper. By that I mean a sheet you put behind the sheet you are writing on to catch any possible bleed through. It is a sturdy paper, mine is 20lb, that keeps it stiffness well. It costs about $0.02 a page in a 500 sheet ream. You can get 800 sheet reams and even cases at 5000 sheets. If you need that much blotter paper you may want to re-examine your pens.

    Weight 20lb, 75gsm
    Brightness 92% white
    Size 8.5x11"
    Rule None

I suspect most multipurpose and inkjet papers of sufficient weight would work for the purpose. Inkjets papers need to be absorbent to work with inkjet ink. So would multipurpose papers need to be absorbent for the same reason.
