Anyone super-excited about this one?

Well, I am - the 120/140 series has been one of my old-time favorites ever since I inherited my great-uncle Fritz's 140!

It's so pretty!

Indeed. For me and many of my generation in Germany this and its green-striped cousin were the epitome of a pen that 'works for a living'. Small, humble, and utterly functional, it is also beautiful without any adornments. I hope they will also recreate the 140 based on this same body.

Since I'm not a fan of green, no. Afraid not. If it were some pretty color or pattern on the barrel I would grab one, but it's just not to my taste. (I owned one of hte original 120s and sold it, just found it deathly boring)

Current pen rotation: way too many!
I like it.

170 euros, Ouch. I like that it is back but I'll stick to my vintage ones.
Nice, and you just never know...

You're right on the price - if you look at other Pelikan prices, the €170 ticket will probably translate into a $250-270 price tag here... but, like you, I like to see these pens to be available again. I also have some vintage 14k nibs to put in one of those, so I might still jump on one!

Will these nibs be gold plated steel?

Actually I was hoping they were going to bring a turquoise M200 to match the new ink coming out this month. Well, this one will do alright.
My other writing instrument is a pencil.
Yes. Hard to imagine that someone will spend 170 euros/$ on a replica of a pen which still can be found on ebay for 50 euros/$ in mint condition. Just my opinion...
And not to forget that the vintage piston mechanism is much better built than moderns...

I was excited for this - but not at this price point.
