Re: Ferrari de varese info
Nice pens from a very small maker currently run by the founder's son. The Ferrari da Varese pens vary in size from the fairly large Botticelli to the more historically normal size Yesterday.
Botticelli
Savant
Yard-o-Led Corinthian on left, FdV Savant on right
Yesterday
on far right for size comparison:
from left to right:ST Dupont Classique and Gatsby, Parker "75", Waterman Lauréat, Gentleman, Préface, ST Dupont Fidelio and the FdV Yesterday.
They are all made from Sterling silver including the clips, the nibs are 18K gold ...
... and the Savant and Yesterday then covered with high temperature hard fired enamel that is then diamond incised to show the underlying Sterling silver.
All of mine have been relatively wet writers, forgiving of any inks I've thrown at them, nibs soft and smooth but relatively stiff.
