    Default Brownish pens suggestion

    Hi everybody

Do you know the feeling when you really want to buy a new fountain pen, but don't know which one?

Well I do at this very moment (It will replace my daily writer).

I'm looking for a brownish pen with some shade/nuance in it.

    Some examples:

Anyone has ideas like these? By budget is around 250 euros so I would like a gold nib

And what characteristics of your daily writer do you enjoy? Based on past experience, are there any pens you have found unpleasant to use?

My daily writer now is a Parker Sonnet Red lacquer. But i'll ink it up with a red ink to match that pen. So for my 'new' daily' writer I like the folowing things: A smooth and a big (nr 6 or more) nib and a quite large barrel as I have big hands. I appreciate any help/suggestions!

If you click on Edit Post I think you have the option to change the title.

Not sure, but at least the cryptic title got people interested in reading it. I'm guessing that the complete word would have been brown.

If you're open to vintage with the possibility of having to restore it, a root beer colored Esterbrook J, LJ, or SJ could be nice. And it would probably leave money for more brown pens.

    Default B

I wouldn't recommend the Sheaffer Balance 2 Amber Glow as a daily writer just because of how fragile the material is. The clip is unusable and the cap can't post either. All for the reasons that the celluloid (I think) will crack. This is the case for the one I own. While the pen is a good size, for someone with big hands, you might find it too light.

You're welcome! Have fun in your search. I'm actually really interested to see where this goes; I'm also a fan of such colors and tortoise designs.

Wow that pen is STUNNING. Except for the golden barrel. If the barrel were the same marble colour, i'd buy it immediatly. Thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate it very much!!
Update: I found the pen with marbled barrel, but the link to the product seems to be broken
