Leonardo Da Vinci Red Chalk after Montblanc
Two parts each of the following;
Platinum Pigment Rose Red
Organics Studio Mercury
to one part
Sailor Four Seasons Oku-Yama
The ink is stable but use of pigment requires more frequent and careful cleaning of pen parts - use at own risk.

I consider this to be a closer idea of Da Vinci's ink and is more red than the Montblanc original; however, if a closer match to Montblanc's still beautiful ink is required, one might try adding a half part of Diamine Sunset.

Tiger Green
Three parts Hieronymus Green No. 3

Both the inks are stable, but the use of Iron Gall in Tiger Green could require more frequent and careful cleaning of pen parts - use at own risk.

Great thread, Sir, thank you.
Someone had given me a recipe for Leonardo's: 50 / 50 Diamine Ochre, and Burnt Sienna. Not Leonardo, at all. But very close to the old Pelikan 4001 Brown.
I will probably try to add some Platinum Igment Rose Red, and see the result.
You are right, but one shop at least still has a little stock to sell.

There was a rumour that OS would return to ink making, not sure when that was supposed to be or what happened.
