    Default Diamine Matador Handwritten Review

Hello all, here's another handwritten review, this time for Diamine Matador.

There's a few more images, and a little text writeup on my website, click any of the pictures to check it out.

    Out came the matador
    Who must've been potted or
Slightly insane but who looked rather bored...
"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

I still have not committed to a red ink yet. Out of the samples I have tried I think Diamine Red Dragon would be my bottle purchase. I do have to admit that I have not sampled Matador yet.

It was in this month's Goulet Pens Ink Drop. I figured I might as well try it out even though I have three other reds currently inked up. My favorite red is probably Diamine Oxblood, even though it's really dark. I like that I can write with it for pretty much anything without getting a headache.

I'm getting a bottle of this stuff for christmas. It had a cool name so I told grandma to get it good to know it is a good ink.

    Does it clean up easily?

I'm interested in that as well. I would put it in a vintage pen, so I wouldn't want a ink so rich that it would hurt the pen....

I haven't cleaned it out yet, but Oxblood tends to clean out easily, especially for a red.

I'll report back when I switch inks, although you might beat me to it.

I don't expect it to be some 4001 baby shampoo like ink (refering to how harmless Pelikan 4001 blue is), but I hope it isn't as wierd as Kelly Green, which I no longer put in vintage pens...

The only Diamine ink I had trouble cleaning was Ochre and it is the red component that will not come out easily. Diamine Red Dragon is easy to clean.

That's a shame, because it's a really really attractive ink... It'll be all I can do to stop myself from 'forgetting' to give my mother her present...

+1 on that. I just struggled to get it completely out of my Al-Star.

I think it may have contaminated the RnK Morinda I've put in my pen... I don't care, I'm gonna keep using it.

I didn't do it and I should have, but maybe try some of that JB's Perfect Pen Flush?

I've only heard good things about the stuff. I might just pick up some at philly...so that I can keep using my Diamine inks in vintage pens (I just stopped filling my vac with asa blue because it was staining too much--switched to 4001 blue and its really dry )
