Bizarre FP dream

You know how dreams are weird and disjointed and make perfect sense while you are dreaming, but then when you try to explain them, they don't?

Anyway, last night I had my first fountain-pen-related dream. I was at a dodgeball tournament when I saw a gentleman pull out a fountain pen and start writing with it. I am not shy, so I had to talk to him about it. It was some brand I'd never heard of. Then I pulled out my sack of pens and started telling him stories about my acquisitions.

And then security came over and talked to us because someone has reported us as suspicious persons/terrorists because "no one uses fountain pens."

My husband tells me I shouldn't even tell people about my dreams.

Well, that dream made perfect sense to me!

I must have had some fp-related dreams, but can't think of 'em at the moment.

Umm, I always have a sack of pens with me. And a few notebooks. You never know when you're going to need to write.

Which sort of feed directly into my dream, which was of cheap Chinese fountain pens - upon reflection after waking up, probably Jinhao 450's or 750's.

Which brings us to "bag-o-pen" weapons - fill a sack with Jinhao 159's and the world will have to make way for you...

Wondering where, exactly, this is leaving that poor sword which was not mightier than the pen to begin with, if we are now taking over the brute force dept. as well...

I've had good fp dreams and bizarre fp dreams and bad ones. The strangest was one where I was at a pen show in the far east, but entirely indoors in a small shabby office room with no windows, low ceilings and strip lighting. It was a tiny 'show' but simultaneously in the dream logic, everyone was moving past the vendor desks (small school desks!) in a rigid snaking pattern round the room, according to the 'rules'.

It has never happened to me yet, but I can't tell you how happy it makes me to have found the kind of people who dream about fountain pens.
