Angry 1963 OMAS VS double sided pen

DOuble sided because sometimes you feel like a nut and some times you don't! ha!

A classic mid-1960s OMAS VS black with gold filled trim.

Introduced in 1963, this was an update of OMAS's 361 design first introduced in 1948 (same year as the Aurora 88) and produced in a number of variations for many years. This one is said to be a somewhat more robust design in acrylic with an improved piston and hood design (Omas 361 hoods crack somewhat easily).

This pen is unique. Held with the hooded nib face up you have a flexible writer, flip it 180 degrees and it is rigid. Very cool midcentury Italian design. An unusual pen and in great condition. Freshly lubed piston, fills and writes great. These are wet writers (simple ebonite feed). If batman had loaned you a pen, it would look like the Omas VS.

    $225.00

FOR PEN THAT LOOKS LIKE THE BATMOBILE.

I kind of went crazy hoarding a bunch of these pens in various shapes, sizes and finishes and even have a few that are exactly the same (as, uh, my wife pointed out). Time to end the insanity. This one is freshly restored (literally inked once to test it) so this is the one that goes.

Piston is PELIKAN smooth on this one. Some tool marks on the cap clutch ring. Otherwise in great shape.
