Need a better picture of the top of the cap and the overall length.

Basing it on a black cap top, two bands on cap and relative slimness I would guess a 22 or 22P if cartridge filled..

    Third from left:

Trying to look closely, I see:

    - cap top ending with the gold ring
    - two rings on the cap
    - an ink window?

The gold ring on the top of the cap looks thinner but could it be the second pen from the right on your picture? a 221?

I'm beginning to think that hunting, identifying and buying the pen is more fun than using it...

Or even the later Classic or even Generations iteration. The basic style went through many small variations and naming changes over the decades and honestly, the pictures are just not clear enough to make the distinctions.

According to an expert on the subject:

given the top of the cap, looks like a generation to me. Of course, not an expert opinion.

The top of the cap has a gold band and the nib section has the characteristic L shaped cut. Its a 22X series. If its a cartridge filler, then its definitely a 221. I have one if you need more pictures for comparision.

I agree with jar. It's a fairly recent Generations. That rounded, angled cap crown is the smoking gun. Nice pen.
