Let´s change the theme and make an excursion to the Manga world.

My son is currently reading "One Punch Man" Mangas he like those quite a lot (he is currently 11).

So we used the opportunity after quite a while for a joint drawing session.
He drew Bang also known as Silver Fang, and I have choosen Saitama.

I enjoy such joint sessions with my son.
Unfortunately in the last months we drew very less together as he was quite busy and stressed with school and the special pandemic conditions.

Covid is very disruptive for the children. Their education has been seriously disrupted in the course of the year and I can see a further period of home teaching coming in the new year. Very difficult for the poor kids.

Time to shove some people some naked skin into their faces again

But maybe they can interpret as landscape with a foundling.

For me indeed it is a landscape, but a human landscape.

I bought myself an early x-mas present, some Conte a Paris pencils.
This is my first use of a Conte white chalk pencil.
In the past I´ve used mainly Creatacolor White chalk pencils.
Compared to the Cretacolor (1 and 2) the Conte is less chalky kind of smoother.
I´m not sure yet which one I like more, for now I only claim they are different.

    I'll be honest.

I like the idea of using white chalk on black paper. I like the drawing and truly admire your talent, and thank you for sharing it.

To me, though the figure's definition (physique) gives an impression of the subject being a male bodybuilder who has abused steroids enough to have developed gynocomastia and not a woman.

I apologise for the bluntness of my last comment. It is intended as helpful criticism only for you, someone who is far more talented than I could ever hope to be.

Thanks for your honest feedback Old Bloke, it is always welcome. 👍
I try to improve and learn from every piece.
For sure I still have to learn a lot especially in figure drawing.

Itˋs easier to get away with imperfections on cartoony stuff or even still life’s than with figure drawings.
Our brains know human anatomy (and faces with respect to portraits) really well and wrong or deviating things immediately strike the eye of the viewer.

Ptero, I often find that your nudes, are better than the original photos. You often give life to lifeless colour photos.
Though the last one, seems to have been a tricky angle.

Good luck and looking forward to seeing more drawings

My son and I started to watch "The Mandalorian" and so far we really enjoy it.
My junior was already a fan of the Clone wars show.
So I used the opportunity to create a little drawing with fountain pen and a ink wash.

    Thanks Yazeh

I bought myself a little Christmas present, a box Mars Lumograph Black pencils.
These pencils have an increased part of carbon black to make them darker and less shiny when applied heavily.
So I tested them out last evening and drew a hand gesture.
I´m quite pleased with them, they are black and there is almost no shining.

This is my second piece using my new Mars Lumograph Black pencils and the first one in 2021.
It is also special because I put quite more effort into this piece as I usually do.

At least I`m quite slow with realistic pencil figure drawings and normally I´m too impatient for that.
Overall I´m really satisfied with the outcome.

My son and I had another afternoon drawing session.
He drew a seahorse and I scribbled a female centaur.

I haven't missed a day of drawing in quite some time now, and none in 2021 yet.

Leaving aside any opinions about this sketch itself, it was done along with two others when I really ought to have been doing something else.
