I also like the flags, the are indeed cool.

Maybe I´ve another inmate for the castle.
It depends if the other creatures still have a little free space for him.

He does not eat much, gave it up quite a while ago as the food just drops on the floor when he swallows a bite.
He is floating around most of the time and enjoys a good debate with other monsters.

I've been trying different drawings in both pencil and ink, to see if I can learn anything that way. Sometimes it seems to work out better than other times. Here are two drawings taken from the same source photo, one in pencil and the other in ink.

I enjoy drawing with both but I get better effects with pencil than pen. If it is a simple line drawing pen does well for me. Having seen what people can achieve with ink in the Inktober thread, my main limitation is me.

I thought it is time to use my Pentel Pocket Brush again.

So I´ve drawn a creature claw in ink but not a normal one with 5 fingers I thought it would be kind of cool to draw one with 2 thumbs (6 fingers total) and colored it afterwards with watercolor.

I don´t know what the creature did right before, but whatever it did to whomever, it was for sure very painful
I only hope it grabbed a evil guy like a terrorist who deserved it.

I made another flower drawing with my Fude brush pen and a watercolor coloration.
I was not happy with the background of the lily, I think it sidetracked too much from the motive so I did not made a background on this.
And I think this was a good decision, personally I like this one much more than the lily.

I've been drawing some portraits of friends and family, with their permission, of course. So far, I don't want to ask people to sit for me while I try to figure out what I'm doing, so I take photos for that purpose and draw from those.

Not ready to show any of those attempts here, but here is a self portrait, using the built in camera on my monitor as a mirror. It's not a really close resemblance, but might fall within the range of an acceptable police sketch artist likeness, if such a thing were to be required.

After a long time and after a lot of ink pieces I thought I could do a pencil piece once again.
I really enjoyed working on it, it took me a bit longer than my average time working on a piece but I´m quite pleased with the result.

One of my recent drawings. Started almost exclusively drawing with fountain pen a few weeks ago. So much fun! This was drawn with an old Sheaffer I got from my parents’ wedding anniversary 28 years ago (has been in a box for that long, almost NOS). The Ink is Pelikan Blue/Black I “borrowed” from my wife. Just starting out on this path to fountain pen bliss!

I didn´t used Sanguine since years and thought I could try it again.
For the lady I used Sanguine powder, a Lyra dry Sanguine pen and a white chalk Cretacolor #1 pen. The background is Rembrandt soft pastel chalk.

To be honest I´m not happy with the result, I rushed it late in the evening, I think I can do better than this, anyway it also depends on the daily form.
