Beautiful drawings everyone keep them coming
Someone on instagram mentioned it was world watercolour month so I've been having a stab at that, they're getting smaller and smaller though (the pad is A5)
Also finished a non watercolour nhs portrait in pen & pencil

Remember Captain Future from an anime tv show in the 70s?
I watched the show when I was a kid and now my son and I started to watch it together also.

    Last evening I tried out a new black 180gsm Winsor&Newton A5 sketchbook.
On black paper pastel chalk is always an option so I used 2 of my Carbothello pastel pencils (white and red).
Actually I´m quite pleased with the paper, it takes the chalk really well, also tortillions and erasing works fine without destroying or damaging the paper structure.
So I would recommend this sketchbook.

I like what you did with that. Black drawing paper is on my shopping list, but for now I'll try to improve with the white, gray, and tan ones that I have. There's always something new to try, though.

Another Fountain Pen ink sketch, primarily to test the waterproof Rohrer & Klingner sketch ink Thea.

(Guider Marala - Degussa Vintage Full Flex Steel Nib ..... Rohrer & Klingner Thea, Brush, Rotring Zeichentusche Weiß, Rohrer & Klingner Blu Mare, Rohrer & Klingner Solferino)

There was no surprise here Thea behaves as expected.
Rohrer & Klingner sketch inks (suitable for Fountain pens) as well as their purely writing inks are top notch.
The sketch inks are 100% waterproof when dried, they perform extraordinary well in fountain pens, the line quality is great and they shade really nicely (Thea is here also no exception).

You can tell that I was fooling around a bit. I had some new Conté pencils in different colors, and was trying them out, along with a couple of regular graphite pencils and one watercolor pencil. That explains the area on the right.

As for the drawing, I was about ready to give up after ten minutes and start fresh on another page, but it ended up a bit better than I thought it would. Still lots of work to do. Like most of my drawings, this was based on a photo found online. Can you imagine telling a kitten to hold any pose?
