Pterodactylus, I've always admired your sketches, and your son is becoming quite talented. Thank-you for sharing them with us!

    All the Best.
"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

My son and I browsed through our personal pictures and selected a reference picture for a landscape aquarelle.

He selected an archway of Mysore palace in Karnataka - India.
I selected the Lindenkirche Georgenberg in Tyrol - Austria.

Last evening Ive created a portrait of Master Yoda with pencils (HB, 2B, 6B) and a white chalk pencil on Strathmore 400 toned paper.
Actually Im quite pleased with the result and it was a lot of fun to do a pencil drawing again.

It shows Master Yoda during the Clone Wars.
My son and I are currently watching the "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" show and really enjoy it (almost finished as we are in season 6 now).

Still trying to learn to draw what I see, with indifferent success. There's a reason I don't post here very often. But I'm enjoying myself, and when I compare some of my earlier attempts, have made a little progress. I mentioned in the "written in fountain pen" thread that I was trying to psych myself up to try this, and here's what happened.

Er, the date should actually be 1/22/20. I'll correct it in my sketchbook, but I'm not taking another photo.
