Theme #10: "Your pet"
This is Gismo, one of your cats (in real life he is black), I´ve drawn it with FP ink and a brush.

#10 Your pet or dream pet
While I have a number of pets, my dream pet is a Japanese Bobtail cat...so here are a few sketches using KWZI ~ Foggy Green

Nice, both of you.
I don't know if I'll be posting next week (the flag) as I'll be out of town - inks will be limited to what's already in two pens.
Very good Pira, also the second version on Flickr.
Come on Snowbear, take a bottle of ink or a sample vial with you.
Theme #12: "Your national flag"

#12 - Our National Flag.
This was my first idea for the flag. I had a few other while I was in San Diego and took some reference shots, but ultimately came back to this one.
For those not familiar with US Flag history, a new star is added each time a state is admitted to the union. The new flag (with additional stars) becomes official on July 4th following the state being added.
Alaska became our 49th state on January 3, 1959, and Hawaii became the 50th on August 21. Because July 4 is between these two dates, we had a 49-star flag for one year.

Your cats are all purrfect (sorry!)
Here is my salt-shaker. An old Tupperware thing pinched from my mum's cupboard when I went away as a student back in 1990, and still serving us well to this very day We also have a jar of salt for cooking / baking, but we don't use much on our meals (except for on chips, of course!! That's fries to you lot, not what we Brits call 'crisps') so this thing with a lid is great. Think it was probably meant for picnics.

Wales currently getting thrashed by Portugal so if I try to draw a dragon flag it will be sad
Wow that's fantastic snowbear!!! Thank you
Or should I say, "diolch yn fawr"
What happened Pira?
No new topics?
Does anyone want to get this going again?
I would, but not if nobody else is interested to contribute.
Pira still post pictures on Flickr, but it seems that she does not participate here anymore.
So stumbled in here last night... I'd be in, but maybe on a monthly basis... bimonthly at best though.
I've come to the conclusion that I have too many hobbies and my focus tends to rotate through them.
Is there any interest in resurrecting this on, perhaps a monthly basis (to start)?
If so, please post.
I'd like to get at least six, but I'll come up with a theme and post it tomorrow. We can see where this goes.
I'll give it a go :-)
Yay, Migo! That's three of us. Hopefully more will join in as the month progresses.
I'm going to start it as a new thread since we won't be going weekly. I have a couple themes picked out but. please, suggest more if you can.
Just a few suggestions. I thought it would be an idea to have themes that gave opportunities for multiple drawings so that we could post more than one drawing if we wanted to. All open to interpretation. I'm sure you'll have some better ideas :-)
- summer fruit
- your desk (at home or work)
- musical instrument(s)
- view from a window
- wild animal(s)
- technology
- movement
- sub-aqua
- metal
I this this a wonderful idea. It would be difficult on a weekly basis (at least for me) but monthly opens everything up. I'll add these to my list - I have a spreadsheet with topics. I will likely also borrow some from the monthly photo challenge I do at my photography forum. It looks like we'll be good for several months.
I'll post the new one tomorrow and provide a link to it, here. I have a glass dip pen just begging to get used some more!
