Default The Wancher 807 in Matte Chrome, Hand Written Review

Hello geeks. I have been slacking a bit on posting reviews to the forum. Been active on my blog. Here is the latest review. A Lamy 2K look-a-like that is cartridge converter fill. For a full pictorial of the pen, see me blog post.

KI, great review and photos (on your blog) as usual. The Wancher 807 is a very interesting looking pen. It is very tempting to get one just based on your review.

Thanks Bogon. These are almost Lamy Al-Star territory. So far a good kick around pen that can take some abuse. Right now it is better to get them through the website than eBay.

I did forget the disclaimer. I bought the pen with my own money and no one asked me to review the pen.

Thanks for the review, Ivan! I've been interested in acquiring one of these ever since one of my fellow pen club members brought one to a meeting. At first I thought it was a Lamy 2000 (it really does look like one)! The only sticking point with me is the nib size---I don't want to get one with a really Fine nib. I'll have to ask Sam to bring the Wancher back so I can take another look at it. It is nice that it comes in three different finishes...

I wonder if I'll see one at the Philly pen show! I don't thinkI'm that interested (a c/c pen is 99% of the time a turn off for me), but I am wondering about the section and overall feel of the pen in real life.

I know what you mean about the nib. I had the same apprehension. I do wish I could put a 1.1mm on it but I am seriously considering grinding it down to something similar. The nib is growing on me though. For now I will keep it as is.

it is light compared to my old Studio. The section feels comfortable in my hand.
