    Default TWSBI 580AL Blue

As the title says, I have a TWSBI 580AL Blue with an extra fine nib. I'm thinking of replacing it with a Pilot Custom Heritage 92 as I believe the form factor will be a better fit for my hand (which is huge - 21.5cm from fingertip to wrist).

    Two questions:

    1. Is this the only viable swap?

    2. Where should I list the TWSBI?

Bearing in mind that the coloured versions of the 580AL are getting hard to find, should I just jump on the bandwagon with everyone else and see what I can get for it?

The CH92 is a very nice pen. It measueres 15.1 cm posted, 12.1 cm unposted (6" & 4.75"). You may still find it a bit small unposted. The Pilot Custom 74 is one of the very best Pilots. IMHO you can't go wrong with this one. It is 12.6cm unposted and 16.1 cm posted (5" and 6 3/8"). Good luck.

Looking at the CH92 for a couple of reasons: quality of build and yes, I am more than happy to post the thing!

Isn't the CH92 actually skinnier than the 580, nearly the same as a Pelikan m400? See below (an m605 rather than an m2/400, but I think you can see)

    Decisions.

The TWSBI is going to be sold, somewhere.

I require a pen principally for mark-up with red ink. I have an unused Aurora 88P that I can use in this role, although I would prefer something more modern and robust. On the other hand this would save me money!

It's not just about utility though. If it was I would use a Pilot 78G. However, I do want to use pens that are aesthetically pleasing to both eye and hand, as well as functioning as expected.

Possible choices - bearing in mind that I have to post most pens because of my hand size (the exception being my Franklin Christoph 66 which to me is not a desk pen!):

    Pilot Custom Heritage 92
    Pilot Custom 74
    Platinum 3776 Century

I cannot think of anything else, open to suggestions.

An orange 580al just sold for $120 on ebay. The 3776 century is a great pen, it's one of my edc. I never take it out of my case.

Okay, the blue TWSBI has been flushed and boxed. All the original packaging too, and the tools have never even been removed! Now to charge the camera up!

A little sad. The TWSBI is now on the big bad Bay. Oh well, it'll sell or it won't.

It sold within a couple of hours of listing. Certainly surprised me!
