    Editor. She is in charge.
She helps do lots of things - read, write, draw, paint, process photos; she's even helped me make maps.

I have a helper too but she's more the "if you don't talk to me i'm going to knock everything off here the minute your back is turned and again at 3 in the morning...your choice" kind of helper.

We look forward to the time when the power of love will replace the love of power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace.

Jon's Picture #1 making me miss my old Sheaffer wideband (now dead, sadly). I love those.

That's a Ticonderoga No. 2 in the foreground, for you pencil fans.

I would suggest that you dismiss the fellow that does your gardening. He seems to have done a somewhat half-hearted job on the lawn.

The foreground is the top of a bookcase, which is crammed with desk pens, crystal inkwells, crystal ball, crystal paper weights, loupes, little boxes, and stuff that any fountain pen collector would want cluttering up his or her space. Here it is from the other end:

And no, it's not all neat and tidy. You can't see the bed behind that bookcase that's being used as a sorting area for "stuff," and here's a rack at the back of the desk. The left side are my outgoing postcards (as some of you are familiar with). Note the pink Mountblanck!

The dairy farmer down the road takes care of the grass. And it's a bumper crop of Timothy so far this year. I no longer own a lawn mower, and what Farmer Coover doesn't take, the rest is cut by a kid in the neighborhood. (I have my theories about lawns and valuable time.)

This just in from the vintgage site Chairish.com: I finally have a writing desk! Funny, I was homesick for Michigan until I looked inside and saw the makers's mark "SLIGH Furniture Co., Grand Rapids, MICH."

Today's desk is a tiny table in the Green Bean Roasting Co., York PA USA.

About to head over to nearby Pippi's Pen Shoppe, hoping she'll be open. Her hours are unpredictable.
