The only other purple I've used in a pen is Franklin-Christoph Tenebris Purpuratum, but it's quite pale in comparison to this purple. I think naimitsu has a dozen or two different purple ink samples around the house. Perhaps she'll have a better guess if/when she pops in here again.

Edelstein Amethyst? although mine writes paler in most pens.

Ok, here it is, and no it´s not a black ink, it appears quite dark as my dip nib wrote really really wet.
