How funny - it was my first guess, and I wasn't sure if it might not be too black (if you see what I mean). It's such a nice drawing ink. I like it with a fude nib too (great minds)

    back in a bit...

It's really a fun ink. Though the fude nib gobbles up ink like no tomorrow. I'm already through 4 cartridges

Sorry - ran out of time this evening. I'll be back in the morning once I've had some sleep!

I go to sleep, wake up, and, in between, a new mystery ink has been presented and guessed correctly!

    Great job, mizgeorge!

Apologies for the delay - I thought this one deserved a picture, so I had to draw something - despite this lovely fat nib making it far from an ideal sketching pen.

The colours is interesting. The first couple of pictures are on old TR 52g, where it definitely shows a touch of green that I don't think is really there in the swatches, which are on exacomta (Clairfontaine) 205g white. If it isn't guessed too quickly, I'll do a wishy washy something to see what appears! This is an ink I'm using a lot at the moment - I've always had a weakness for beigey, taupey colours and this one is so nicely behaved in just about every pen I've tried it in. It even works well in EF nibs, which isn't always the case for this part of the spectrum.

The pen is one of my old Osmiroid 75s. I love these little workhorses - the interchangeable nibs are huge fun (though this one is a regular broad, rather than an italic) and the piston fill system is still perfect after 50+ years of pretty much no maintenance.

As for the haiku - I did consider having a go at the original, but my still rather wobbly brain is still not doing well at remembering things consistently, so I find copying very difficult, so I stuck to the transliteration. Sorry!

I love the presentation, picture, ink color, pen - everything. I have a weakness for beigey, taupey colors too and, while I don't have an Osmiroid 75 I do have a few 65s, and a lot of nibs (but no broad). Thanks!

This color looks very familiar but a name isn't coming to mind right now. I am really curious to know what this one is.

None of the above. One guess has come close on colour, but this is not a shimmer or sparkle ink.

@pithy - I had a feeling you might like this one - I know we share a love of inks on this bit of the spectrum. I don't have any other that's quite like this (and I have *ahem* a few). It's lovely to write with as well as to draw, and on some papers shows a distinct pink undertone, rather than the mauve more usual.

Wow, I am looking on my big computer monitor - this is a really wonderful color. I'm pretty sure the ink I'm thinking about is a Birmingham and I think you probably don't have any of those because of the difficulty getting them outside the US.

I think this is a Kala Nostalgia Abstraction ink, which I've been really eager to try, but I hope not because they are not easy for me to get.

I wish! I can't get them here either! I have very few pigment inks (mainly because I'm very lazy about cleaning out pens), but these have been on my radar as well for a while.

It is also not a Birmingham ink - though I think they do have one that's similar to this. However, I've pretty much banned myself from even looking at their website now...

Oh! I just discovered I can get them at a good price with low shipping from an online store in Taiwan! Maybe you can too. Unfortunately not all the Nostalgia series are in stock but they have a large selection of Kala's other inks.

    I'll send you a PM.
