Congrats PP - I knew what it was in the early hours of this morning, but wasn't up early enough to get there! I have to admit that I'm kicking myself for not guessing it sooner though.
Thanks DrPenfection - especially for bearing with my bumblingly slow thought processes on the way to not getting there!

Well, folks, this one is a non-starter, so I will just tell you that it's Krishna Brown Pink. I purchased it a few years ago, put it aside because I did not like it at all, and, now that I've brought it out again, it looks like all the pink dye has vanished. But now, what's left is a lovely, shading butterscotch brown! And now I'll actually use it.
Back tomorrow with another.
EDIT: Looks a lot like Diamine Brandy Snap, yes? So I'll take Brandy Snap off my want list!

LOL. My brown pink has also become more brown than pink - but still has a huge amount of very green sheen, which makes it quite a lot of fun - far more so than it was originally.
I'll look forward to tomorrow

Thanks Pithy for showing me another ink I don't want.
Truthfully, I have a couple of Krishna inks that were given to me by a friend. I believe that they were some of the earlier inks. Anyway, both inks have faded substantially to the point where I may just pitch them the next time I go through my ink collection.

I do understand. I think I have enough ink now for 5 lifetimes if I never bought another bottle (and I won't even think about the 100 or samples that I have). When I was sick I did get everything swabbed though, which was a huge accomplishment. But I would like to go through and weed out those that I likely won't use again (don't like the formulation, or color) and donate them to someone who will give them the love and attention that they deserve. And, yes, I need to do the same thing with pens.

Here's a soft brown and some practice on Tai Tham, also called Tua Tham and Tua Mueang, the dying script of the living Northern Thai (Lanna) language called Kam Mueang. Japanese or Chinese (?) calligraphy brush and a Waterman Exclusive on the back of Life Manuscript paper with indirect sunlight. I wish my phone's camera would be consistent with white balance! I have a tiny essential tremor every once in a while and brushwork can be particularly difficult at times.
No, I have no idea what it says!
I'd say that this one is might be really hard or might be really easy but I think I will just play with a poker face.
EDIT: Got the white balance a little better on the second pic.

BTW, the slight pinkish hue that is actually seen on the page is not captured well in the pen writing is the first pic (the lighter parts should be slightly pinkish, not the taupe-y color that's shown in the pic). The second pic shows the pinkish hue of the pen writing a little better but still a bit subdued.
I think the brush writing in the first pic captures the color best.
I like it! and I'm very impressed at the writing practice. Your comment about tremor is interesting, I've found regaining brush control far harder since being ill than I have with a pen. I think even the tiniest wobble is magnified with the softness of a brush, especially when using it slowly.

As I am sure you already realize, with brushing there's so little resistance between the brush and the paper plus you have to have much more control over the vertical movement of the brush. My arm tenses up so much to try to control it, worsening the tremor. I think I need to learn to relax my muscles and I think practicing with brushes would help me a lot. I recently got a whole bunch of vintage Japanese and Chinese brushes, mostly unused and some are very, very high quality - there are a few that still have their price tag and one of them is 12,000 JPY! Some are beautifully crafted and quite inspiring.
Sorry, the mystery ink is none of those. And definitely not as red leaning as Terre de Feu. There's a pinkish hue, as mentioned, but I don't see any red lean, if that makes any sense. (Interesting to peek at PenBBS 141. It looks a lot like 269.)

Sorry, not those very nice looking inks either.
I do like this very soft brown.
Let me just through out Birmingham Hemlock Cone as a quick guess, or perhaps Montblanc Swan Plume Illusion (although mine has just a very slight whiff of pink to it).
