Lovely colour! I am such a sucker for soft shady inks - it's that whole vintage feel that just draws me in every time.


It could be another L'Artisan Pastellier - one of the Gris de Paynes (either the Callifolio or the Classique)

It's none of those Chinese ink series that claim to be Morandi colors. And Omas is sadly gone (I do have a vintage big bottle of their Grigio and it's much more grey than the mystery ink).

That went much quicker than I thought it would!

The transliteration of the Chinese name is Jian and it means something like 'mountain stream'. I think Zi is a different PenBBS ink.

Aha! I'm pretty sure you're right about the name because I've seen another PenBBS ink called Zi, and it's 362, and definitely green! I suspect the error happened at the reviewing stage.

However, it's one I've had on my wantlist for ages, and although I could get it from Sakura, it's only in the tiny bottles and expensive for that. I was looking at that very list just today...

Here's another one. I suspect I have more inks in this general colour range than any other. And I love them all!

Oh, I love the color, of course. Here's a swoop attempt: L'Artisan Pastellier Callifolio Byzance, a color I will always have in one of my favorite pens.

And, if not that, then Callifolios Gris de Payne (which is a little more green in my experience), Bosphore (though too light compared to mine), or Botany Bay (which I don't have yet!).

It's not a Callifolio. It's not a French ink.

The closest would be the Gris de Payne, but this ink is actually greener, which isn't showing well in the pictures - I'll try to get a better shot in a moment.
