No, I'm afraid not. Not a L'Artisan Pastellier ink.

It's not pedestrian, but I think it's a good replacement for Leonardo Red Chalk.
I will try and think of something.

If I was going to be picky I think it washes a bit pinker than LRC, but it's a close match and a good ink in its own right. And when the alternative is unobtanium without taking out a mortgage anyway, who wants to be picky?

If you have Carlo Collodi, then one drop of Sheaffer Red into the converter with that gives you a good LRC result. I have LRC and CC and there is not too much difference between them apart from a bit of red. I don't have any Monteverde Red Velvet. Yet.

All this talk makes me think I need to try some Red Velvet as well

"if you have Carlo Collodi" Come to think of it I don't even have any Sheaffer Red either!

I've used a lot of Red Velvet. I posted a comparison a few months back, between Red Velvet & LRC, over in the Doppelgänger thread on FPN. They are very close but not an exact match. I prefer Red Velvet because I find LRC to be too dry for my tastes. Red Velvet is wetter, more saturated & flows nicely in all nibs.
