Nope, it is also not a Vuitton ink.
The manufacturer es not what you would call an in-crowd one.
The inks of the mystery ink Manufacturer are reasonable priced.

I thought Monteverde is Chinese owned, but American branded... though not sure where their inks are manufactured.

Nope also not not a Monteverde ink.
I think Monteverde is made in Austria, but the mystery ink manufacturer is also not from Austria.

Next hint: The mystery ink manufacturer sells also non FP inks.
As far as I know they sell FP inks only since very few years.

A quick search on site told me that Migo owns the mystery ink, but we do not have a ink review here.
On FPN they have a review of the ink.

I was under the impression Monteverde was made in Austria too, certainly somewhere the EU 'cos it sez so on the bottle. Thought Ptero might have been playing the Shenanigans Card.

Anyway, updating Scooby's list owing to its extreme usefulness (at listing where we're all going wrong!)

I'm positively surprised by this ink, it behaves really well, shades nicely dry fast and do not smudge/smear (like many other red inks)

Gosh, fancy that. Actually I'd noticed Octopus starting to turn up on AmazonUK and wondered about it. Not, of course, that I actually need any more ink...

I was never going to guess that one. It's not a brand I've heard of, nor did it pop up in any searches through various brands and inks available at the major online vendors in the USA. Nonetheless, it is an appealing ink.
