Because you left the cap off and some of it's water evaporated?

I've experimented on doing that with quite a few inks that I wanted to try to make darker/more saturated.

It may be as much as 50% evaporated... probably not as good a clue as i thought, i guess you need to know the customer service which can come with the ink

Interesting geographic angle. I wonder if Slovenia (where adhoc informs us many inks are made) is 30 miles closer to France?

Whoomp, there it is!

According to a route calculator Herbin's Etival-Clairefontaine is approx 820 miles from KWZ's Nowe Grocholice.

The original clue was reference to the fact that this ink was one of a bag of samples ordered along with bottles of ink, the little bullet containers the samples are contained in may not be quite airtight, then i again i suspect i may have just already used some .
