Ooo, good shot. It came very close to being Yu-Yake, or even as well, but nope. The mystery ink is a little brighter, but they are very similar.

Time for a clue, perhaps. Um... Something cryptic - It's found greater than Iroshizuku, but less than Noodler's.

That is a bit cryptic and I'm thinking it either falls in the alphabet between I and N, or (and?) it is more readily available than PI, but less common than Noodler's.

Lamy Copper Orange? Though I find Lamy inks to be less common than PI. The other two I would guess fall outside I to N, and one of them is likely less common than PI.

I would have said ink bottle capacity, but even so I've given up.

Not Lamy Copper Orange, I'm afraid.

Noooooo, don't give up, Chrissy! You keep getting closest. Bottle capacity is absolutely on the money.

Further, geographical, clue: Lamy is the nearest thus far.

OK Here's where I went: a bottle greater than 50 ml but below 3oz. Near in location to Lamy.

Capacity between PI and Noodler's is a wide open 50mL to 133mL, but since we're not going by availability or alphabet I suppose I can add another guess...

Despite my love of Pelikan inks, don't have that one.

    And we have a winner!

GvFC's bottle size seemed to be an unusual one in comparison to the rest, so hoped it might be helpful. Although, ironically, this is actually from a cartridge.

Very sorry for the delay. I ran out of new inks and was waiting on naimitsu's new order to show up and I asked her to do a writing sample for the new challenge.

A new red ink in a new red pen. It's been a bit cloudy and depressing around here, so the photo was indoors under incandescent light.

Neither is correct, but one is geographically closer than the other.

Did we break it or is everyone just off traveling and visiting family and friends for the holidays?

PI is geographically closer than Seitz-Kreuznach, quite significantly.

Me, I was in a state of cluelessness. Mainly because I suspected Japanese and that always leads me down a road of mystery and confusion full of Sailors, and my mother warned me about roads like that... However, looking again it seems a lot less saturated than I associate with Sailor, so taking a bit of a punt:

oh, thought Fushimi's red is shifting slightly to the magenta side rather than orange.
now I get regret ordering Higashiyama instead. -_-

Dammit. Anyone else want to step in? I'm providing the Christmas nosebags this year and thus am a little occupied at the mo'.

There's quite a bit of variety in the online samples, isn't there? A little invoice tells me Santa shoud be divvying up some Higashiyama to Weevil Burrows this year; don't think I'll be pining over not having asked for this one instead.

No-one came to my rescue. Again. You rotten lot.

I shall exact revenge with a truly terrible photo. And also because it is grey and windy and wet and it was dark at noon, for heaven's sakes. But I think there's enough to go on to elicit some reasonable guesses.
