I would think Diamine Red Dragon is close. I'l try another - Diamine Merlot.

Good guesses but alas, neither. Clue is -- not Diamine.

Thanks you for your guesses but, unfortunately, neither is correct. The continent you seek is Europe. If it helps, dry times are in the range of 10-30 seconds, maybe more depending on paper. Flow is good and the ink lubricates the nib somewhat making this ink a real gem to write with.

Best of luck in your guesses! Hopefully you won't have to dig too deep and the answer will be crystal clear soon.

Ok, I see. The hints "Europe", "gem" and "crystal" mean Pelikan Edelstein, right? So it is Ruby or Garnet.
I say Garnet (the darker one here).

Jens beat me to it. I was going to say Edelstein Garnet. I have both Edelstein Ruby and GvFC Garnet in my regular rotation and this ink is neither of those.

Is it named after an iron mineral? Hematite? Herbin?

It's J. Herbin, yes. The mineral/gem has been named in English. The ink name is two words. One of those words is the French word for the gem.

Ok, my final hint. How do you say "garnet red" in French?
