Ok, no European, no Asian ink.
What about Noodler´s Red-Black?
Some others have suggested Robert Oster, but not Astorquiza Rot...
Vintage. Cursive italic. Iron gall.

Nope that is much more Crimson and its not Robert Oster burgundy either , the closest colour I have in my ink samples is Diamine Oxblood which has been mentioned before , but that is a tiny shade darker and a tad more purple
Like Oxblood, this doesn't have a colour in the name of the ink
Looks like things have dried up a bit
So maybe another hint or two ,
It is an Australian Ink , in name as well as origin

Apologies, things got nutty. Will post the next one this week. Now, what ink to choose... Hmmm.
OK, here we go...
I think the color is fairly accurate vs real life here—sort of a reddish brown.
ChrisJ (September 13th, 2019)
That's a nice brown , not quite sure I've seen any ink quite like that
How about Diamine Macassar ? or is that too dark ?
Hi,
No, I'm not saying Oster Maroon 1789 again... ;-)
My guess is Monteverde Brown Sugar from a dry dib?
Best

Good guesses. This one is redder and lighter than Diamine Macassar. It isn't a Monteverde or from any USA company.
Kaweco Caramel Brown?
Vintage. Cursive italic. Iron gall.
Not Kaweco but both inks are from Germany.
Germany ? Pelikan Smokey Quartz ?
(but that feels lighter and less red)
