In one (well one and a half!). I thought I was very kind with the clues after the last stinker.

Couldn't resist using this one as I was playing with it today. I'd forgotten how much I love it - and also how hopeless the bottle is! Having managed to get a few NOS bottles from the series, including a Sunset, I let myself open the old one that I'd been hoarding saving.

    Back to you

Thanks. One needs to find the balance between the two not two difficult not to easy

    This is a tricky one.

You need to look with your heart and not with your head.
There are few "reviews", but you cannot find it any where for sale.

The text is riddled with clues....

    Enjoy!

    I am who I am,
What you see my skin, my flesh
    a two month journey,
    yearn for [coppera?],
    and you,
    my Lady.

    Is that right?

It has been reviewed, but it is not available for sale. So it is either:
    • a discontinued manufactured ink
    • an 'established' mixing recipe

    Hmmmm...guesses:
    • Omas Technical Grey - but technical does not seem apt when one years for a lady
    • Levenger Smokey
    • Sailor Grey - sailors go on long journeys and yearn for ladies?

    You got it....
    It's the second posit.
So logically none of the three above.

And the word you're looking for is copperas

Two month journey...does that imply some period of maceration/maturation/fermentation? Soaking of oak galls perhaps?

    If not...
5 ml J. Herbin Gris Nuage
1 ml J. Herbin Perle Noire
    0.5 ml Pelikan Royal Blue

There's no gall in the recipe. The recipe in question has copperas, gum arabica and a source for tannin, which gives the name to this particular ink.
There's a detailed recipe on the net with photos and several detailed comparisons on FPN.
I must pay attention not to touch the ink though as my finger will take the odour of super black tea, which has been abandoned in a teapot for much too long

So it's not Jane Austen's ink
    It's not pokeberry
    Is it a walnut one?

None of them mizgeorge. My drawing is not the best... but there's the clue...
but you're on the right track...
The flesh and skin are fermented for two months, so the tannic acid is released.... the solution is boiled for 5 minutes to kill the wee beasties...
a bit of iron sulphate and gum arabic and you have this ink...
It's alright... not the best... I use it in a cheap Chinese pen... no clogging for weeks now.....
