Bugger. I was getting all scientific there.

I can think of inks to fit some of the clues, but they're totally the wrong colours
And I can think of inks that are the right colours but can't for the life of me make them fit the clues.

And if it's not a tree....

    Recap time:

We have made over 70 guesses.

    The clues are as follows:

    1. The poem has a clue
    2. The magnified image is a clue
    3. The ink has not appeared in "guess the ink", but has been guessed before
    4. Not a North American ink
    5. No a Colorverse Ink
    6. Brand has been named already
    7. Only one mention of the ink on FPGeeks - Yazeh's thread
    8. A few mentions on FPN but no reviews
    9. A couple of reviews on popular review sites.
    10. Not a Kobe ink
    11. Going down, it appears more pink/purple before drying
    12. Not an IG ink
    13. Name of the ink can be either liquid, solid or gas - commonly seen as gas or solid
    14. Not a 3Oysters ink
    15. Name or brand not associated with a tree
    16. Name is not a coffee or beverage

somewhere I believe thi also said it is not an Herbin ink.

    perhaps this might help someone

Too trying to poison me for being mean!
    Too drinky!
I might be that mean, but not today!
My personal opinion is that this is a brown.

Yeah, I understand - I went down the "black" path too on this.

I don't know. Maybe thi is throwing us all for a loop! It could be a concentrated version of Laban Demeter!
Haha! No, it's not a concentrated ink. Not that mean! (today)

Goodness, 70 guesses! Now I feel bad and like I might actually be mean!
A couple of comments on these...
    1. Is the poem a clue?
    2. The magnified image was just to help with the hidden colors.

I'll add, not a European ink.

I quite like this ink! Is it brown? Black? Grey? Purple? Pink? Green?
It might be all of these things!

The difficult clues that I’ll note after the fact:
The puff cloud of smoke that could be mistaken for a tree.
The pictured pen containing this ink is in the Smoke and Cinnamaroon colorway.

No, you are not mean by any definition.

    Tricky . . . maybe.

Oh well done Yazeh!! I'm embarrassed to say that I've never even registered the existence of this ink.

@thi - not mean at all - a challenge is much more fun than something boring and I certainly enjoyed this one. However, I think we may need to work on your drawing - the 'smoke' looked very much like either a tree or something nasty exploding on a remote atoll...

And yes, the family does make fun of my drawings whenever we play Pictionary…

thi, I think we all enjoyed it! It seems like an interesting ink. I did look at it yesterday on mountainofink's website, but thought it was perhaps too light. But it is on my list for a sample, especially after seeing your illustrations. Thank you!
