No, not Grand Canyon. It's a current ink :-)

Hmm, the geographical clue would tend to suggest something like Pelikan or Montblanc. But all of their browns are more yellow, I think. Diamine chocolate brown is an obvious choice but that wouldn't seem to be a near neighbour. Hmmm...

None of these - still haven't pinned down the brand :-)

Yes, the geographical clue was important. I'll go as far as saying it's a German ink........

Just to cover all the SK options - cinnamon brown? Chestnut as rafapa suggested seems more likely though.

None of these. I think there might be only a couple of German brands not yet named.

Another clue - the colour of the ink is named after a type of fruit. That's almost given you all the answer :-)

This is bugging me... Graf von Faber-Castell Hazelnut? I don't think a hazelnut is strictly speaking a fruit but it's the best I can do. Someone please put me out of my misery.

OK - final clues. The brand is well known for technical drawing tools and pencil sharpeners. And begins with 'S'.

That has practically given you the answer :-)

Doubtless you are right... I liked this round more when I thought there was a chance it could be potting soil brown, though. At least that's an evocative name for an ink.
