Thank you so much, mizgeorge! That one was challenging!

Actually, it is now david-p's turn since he won the clue about the brand name on my last ink.

So, it is now over to you david-p!!!

Thank you, Dr. P. That is very generous of you -- while putting the onus on me to find an ink that you will not immediately guess from my relatively small collection...

As usual, I shall post at 6pm UK time, which is noon in Chicago and 10am on the west coast.

In the meantime, here is a pic of the fuchsia that I grew from a cutting.

Wow! Dr. d-P, your fuchsia is beautiful! Thank you for sharing it! And it isn't about how many inks that you have, it is all about the fun of sharing them and giving others the inspiration to find inks that delight them. So, thank you for your contributions but especially your willingness to contribute!

Sorry! I didnt aim very well with the splodge.

The text is: Not an exotic, expensive or pretentious ink, the name does not indicate its colour unequivocally.

(Sounds like a Times crossword clue!)

    Thank you David

There will now be a slight delay - I'm on a bit of a deadline tonight so won't be picking anything up until either much later, or more likely tomorrow. Sorry about that, but no choice!

If someone else wants to jump in, feel free!

During the intermission I want to say that I am impressed by Lamy Black, Blue, Green and Turmaline. I havent yet tried violet (which only seems to come in cartridges) and I think their red is a big disappintment (a weak colour -- more pink than red). What I like about the four, apart from the teriffic bottles with their built in wipes, is that all of them have character as basic inks, and the colours are not so distinguishable from other more expensive and more glamorous competitors. E.g. compare Lamy green with Shin-ryoku, blue with Waterman Serenity or Pelikan Königsblau; and in isolation, I cant distinguish them.

This is borne out in general by the guesses we get in these games -- of inks that we think are like the one actually used.

What a little sweetie - and a great name

Thank you all for your patience, I'm afraid this one probably wasn't worth waiting for, but I've stuck to my rule of closing my eyes and grabbing a pen until I run out. Which may take some time...

This one is a super cheap Sailor Fude de Mannen (40°) which is generally more fun for drawing than writing, but which I do quite enjoy for faux brush strokes.
