Thank you thi - that's very gentlemanly of you

This is not a tricky one at all. The manufacturer is well known, and it can be bought all over the world. The pen that came to hand was a Dubonnet Esterbrook LJ with a 2668 nib - perfect for quick sketches and notes and always super reliable. The ink has probably darkened very slightly since it was filled.

The photo is, as always, slightly more true to colour, but the scan's not far off

I'm not expecting this one to take too long

    Fantastic sketch!

I was just popping on to check the thread very quickly, but now I feel compelled to guess...
    Sheaffer Skrip Brown?

LOL - thank you, but I will immediately confess that it is a copy of something appropriate I found rather than an original. I'm good at copying and still life stuff, but only very average when it comes to original composition!

Not Skrip Brown. In fact, not any sort of brown! It's actually a pretty good match for the pen, but darkens a fair bit on finer lines.

Ah! Well I'm still impressed by your ability to copy!

I had to guess Skrip Brown because it was my wife's "gateway" ink, leading to the purchase of many similarly toned inks.
She noticed me looking at some of @penwash 's sketches, I think when he was on a Skrip Brown kick, and I "realized" that I should buy a bottle.
It was the strong red tone in the brown that drew her to the ink, and I saw some similarity here.
If I had missed on Skrip Brown, I would've been in trouble! (or mocked for a while at least)
Now I've given away knowledge of an ink I own!

    Next guess!
Robert Oster Red Candy? (Doesn't seem quite right on my screen though...)

(I've also never tried Red Stripe!)

    And spot on!

It is indeed Red Candy. It's a near perfect match for this pen and is a permanent resident

Well done thi! I said it wouldn't be a hard one but I didn't expect it to be quite so quick - I'm very impressed

    Over to you!!!

Ahh, very strong hint as I have it, too:
It's the Eisengallus-Tinte for dip pens of the Gutenberg shop?

    Jens
Glad to see you back Jens. As thi said, it's thr Bohemuan walnut ink. The Eisengallus in my experience oxidizes from sky blue to shiny black ...

    @thi bravo...
@mizgeorge loved that sketch. First some reason she reminded me of Wilma Flintstone

Thank you, and it was a perfectly matched sketch for the ink!

Now I feel compelled to pass this one to DrPenfection.
    Please do the honors?

Well, thank you thi. I am not sure why but thank you all the same. I will be right back with something that I already have inked. And I will give a tiny hint now. It will not be a Birmingham ink.

It does feel like so long ago now, but it’s for your efforts guessing Krishna Pakeezah, keeping the game going!
Thank you again, and I look forward to the next ink!

Really good guesses all, but alas none are the ink in question.

All really good guesses, but no on all of them. Tsuki-yo is too blue

That was certainly worth passing a turn to you!

I mostly just wanted to say that, and I don’t have a proper guess…
    KWZ Baltic Memories?

Thank you! I'm not an artist, but I am going to visit my Mom next week who is a painter. I always have to practice a bit before I see her. She's an oil painter and the most I can do is play with pen and ink and a little watercolor. I'm not at all in her league.

I must say that this ink was not very cooperative for sketch.

But no, it is no KWZ Baltic Memories, although that is a lovely ink.
