Are you making fun of my home state?!? We do have crickets and tumbleweeds especially this time of year. I avoided a few today as I drove back home from North Central Nevada.

I wouldn't dare :P
I love Nevada, actually, even though I didn't see much more of it than Vegas and Hoover Dam.

Truthfully, if you only saw Vegas and Hoover Dam then you didn't see much. The rest of Nevada is wild and, I think, beautiful. It is wide open valleys with snow capped mountains (this time of year) all around. Send me a PM and I will send you (or anyone else) a link to my photo site, which has a section on Nevada (without Vegas, but including Lake Tahoe).

Yesterday, as I was driving east on I80, just outside of a town called Fernley there is a long stretch of valley with mountains all around. At the base of all of the mountain ranges, there was this haze which reflected the early morning light. It was breathtaking. I've lived here for many years, but I had never seen anything like this before. And if I had brought my camera, I would have stopped and taken a bunch of photos. But, I was meeting a client and was on a tight schedule. But, Nevada is always a surprise if you look beyond the surface.

Without further ado, a very straightforward one - today I picked up a reliable old green Estie - I don't have a huge collection of these (though I really should get some more) but always enjoy using them so much.
