J Herbin Bleu Calanque?
If we wouldn’t had KWZ IG Turquoise just a few rounds before I would guess it.
But on the second thought this is not the worst Strategie at all (made it in this thread years ago once myself… )
So
KWZ IG Turquoise?
And just to cover a discontinued ink as well:
Caran d‘Ache Caribbean Sea?
So sorry for being absent so long. An short meeting ended up being most of the day.
And I am sorry to say that it is none of the above.
I will give you a big hint. The ink is not made in Asia.
And the brand has not be named yet.
Lamy Crystal Amazonite
Akkerman Dutch Masters Ceruleum Blauw Van Vermeer
Akkerman Diep-Duinwaterblauw
mizgeorge, you a close, but not quite there yet.
Callifolio Bleu Equinoxe 6?
Akkerman #24 Blue-Green?
Akkerman #11 Treves Turquoise?
I was also going to guess Akkerman #24 Zuiderpark blauw-groen but Ptero beat me to it this morning!
Here's my list of guesses:
Pelikan Edelstein Aquamarine
Pelikan Edelstein Jade
Lamy Turmaline
Monteverde Iced Cookie
Monteverde DC Supershow Teal
I think I owe you all an apology. It appears as though this ink is no longer made. It is not on the manufacturer's website when I looked this morning nor on several other websites.
So I am going to give this round to mizgeorge, since she was the closest and the first to guess an Akkerman ink.
The ink is Akkerman Israel ZeeBlauw. I purchased it from Vaness several years ago, and just finished the bottle the other day. It was a nice ink.
So, well done mizgeorge.
It is now over to you.
Oh, I looked at the Dutch Masters inks briefly this morning but didn't zoom in, assuming mizgeorge had already named the best match. But you are correct that these inks are still listed on the shop's website. They are, however, all sold out. I think if you can still find some elsewhere, it will be the last of the available bottles!
And just as an aside and purely from my own point of view, I don't know enough about or follow closely enough all the developments in the ink world so I would have to do a lot of searching to figure out whether an ink in a review is or is not still being produced. There are so many retailers that sell some and not others that it is, to me at least, not always clear what is a current ink and what is not. I think, personally, as long as it is an ink that has not been out of production for years and years already (so basically from unobtainium...) it is fine to use them here, as it's also too much work to try and make sure it's not been (recently) discontinued before posting it. That's my 2 cents as an ink novice, anyway.
All that said, very much looking forward to what mizgeorge has to show us this time!
