Also, I have to say, that despite it being somewhat of a generic blue, I do really like how rich the color is for what is essentially a shade that is officially supposed to be halfway between cyan and medium blue. I like it much better than the Pelikan royal blue that I use as one of my inks for testing new old/vintage pens. I'm not a big fan of blue inks, having used them way too much in Bic pens in school and at work, and that is why I have very few blue inks. But I find this one to be a very pleasant color (despite it not being the lighter color that I was expecting).

No, I still consider Diamine officially European. You all haven't left the official continent yet, have you? (I know you would if some whose names shall not be mentioned had their way!)

And it's not Azure 4 or 5, sorry.

Well, it's debatable whether the UK counts on a geographic basis, given that we're a couple of islands, but I wasn't sure whether I should still be thinking Diamine or not...

    In which case,

Diamine Mediterranean / Misty / Asa Blue?

You did make it as easy as you could - thank you! I found that one very hard - probably because I have no frame of reference (I don't generally buy KWZ inks because of the smell) so had to work from online resources, which can be sketchy to say the least!

I'm just sorting out food and stuff and will come back with something nice and straightforward in a little while.

As someone who has only ever tried about 25 or 35 inks in total, I know exactly what you mean about the online resources! I have learned a lot about how to read a retailer's swatch from playing this game!! Add to that the fact that KWZ are handmade inks, so I think the batches may vary somewhat (especially in the difficult blues - the color on the label does NOT match the color in the bottle, for example), which doesn't make it any easier. But after Lost was so easy, I had to do something difficult, didn't I?

    So,
It was grab-a-pen day today. And I think you'll find it much easier than the last one!

Most accurate colour is probably the nib closeup. Sorry for the poor focus on the wide shot - the light didn't want to play tonight and I didn't have time to sort it out. Apologies also for yet another treescape, but I'm hooked on these, and the slight colour separation was interesting...

Darla - you definitely need more ink in your life We're clearly not doing a very good enabling job!

That is one pretty green. Maybe Diamine Green Umber?

I’m out of guesses from my sample cards.

The pen is indeed a 140 - my 'baby' pen, which I've had since primary school.

It's none of the above, but Green Umber is a great guess - and is one of the inks I regularly use in my old green birds.

And you see right, there is a definite tinge of grey and even a touch of yellow
