    Not Diamine.
Of course. But I still have no idea.
Sorry, I was unclear. What I meant was: this ink is not Diamine. Don't be distracted by the cap, which was just to illustrate how winey I expected the colour to be. For all I know they source their bottles from the same manufacturer. Which is not to say this bottle is the same shape as a bottle of Diamine - it isn't.
No worries. I was basing my guess on your saying it was "available from the manufacturer." Not on the cap.

Of course, I don't know the cap, either -- I buy the 30 ml Diamine bottles.

I should perhaps say 'available from the brand's website', though they have their own stores too. I doubt they make their own ink. Or pens.

That could easily be changed if you happened to want an 80ml bottle

    ... So far...
    It's European...
It's not from a pen manufacturer...
It's not from an ink manufacturer...
They have online and brick and mortar stores...
The ink is reminiscent of "wine"...
    ...
    ...
    I'm stumped...

But in all other respects a reasonable guess.

Right country. Right sort of ink name.

Is that cap pictured, from the bottle of ink that we're trying to guess? Or have you decanted your ink into a different bottle?

It's the same cap that Diamine uses, but it's not Diamine.

It also looks like the DeAtramentis ink bottle caps...

Yes, it's from the actual bottle, not decanted. It does look a lot like a Diamine cap. The rest of the bottle is totally different though.

An Italian brand that sells pens, ink, stationery and leather goods. I guess their pens may be rebranded but I base this solely on a review I read somewhere. This particular ink is named for a wine-making region of another European country.

    Not this.

The brand is named after a district of Rome.
The ink is named after a French wine region that hasn’t been mentioned yet.

Right. I think I know the make.
Is it also a letter in the Greek alphabet?

But isn't Monteverde an American company?

Yeah, I think so. That imports from and possibly owns the Austrian factory that makes inks and refills. However, the name is a district in Rome....

It makes no sense, very possibly. And I don't know their inks. There is a Monteverde Burgundy which is essentially the same as MB's. Which means not orange. So it's probably not correct. But when has that stopped me?
