Oh, how I wish! I can't get my grubby paws on any Birmingham Inks. I resisted for too long, and now they won't ship to the UK.

    One of these days...

I’m at a loss on this one.

Maybe one more try: Sailor Jentle Waka-uguisu?

mizgeorge, glad to hear that your husband is doing better and that your daughter passed all of her tests! It sounds like things have been a bit stressful lately. I will keep you all in my prayers!

I am a little late getting started. Things have been a bit hectic around here as well.

So, this appears to be a light, murky, yellow-green, perhaps with a touch of brown.

    Let me start with these:

    GvFC Olive Green
    Robert Oster Nederland Eerste
    Robert Oster Australas Tea
    Pennonia Zoldike
    Krishna Ghat Green
    Vinta Sea Kelp
    Van Diamen's Eucalyptus

Thank you Doc! The poor old sod is getting there - the surgery went really well, but I think the recovery is going to be a bit of a drawn out process.

My daughter, on the other hand, is a little star - I'm so proud of her, especially as she is studying pretty niche subjects (including Latin, Classical Civilisation, Philosophy and Ethics, and has managed to get a place at one of the best universities in the world for her chosen degree course. I just wish it was a little closer to home!

    Anyway.

None of the latest batch - in fact nobody's even got the maker yet (and it is not one of my really obscure ones!).

There are clues in the poem and sketch, and yes, it is definitely a light yellow green, with only a tiny hint of murk! I might add an additional visual clue shortly...

Glad to year about your daughter! It sounds really exciting!

    Let's try:

    DeAtramentis Sahara Grey
    or perhaps
    Diamine 150th Anniversary Safari
    or
    Monteverde Olivine

None of these (Sahara Grey is not a bad colour match though!) I would describe this as more yellow leaning than most olives.

The DeAtramentis is heading in the right direction in terms of clues though!

The colour is tricky - the first sketch is on Tomoe River, this next one is on Oxford Optik, and it's much greener. I think it also changes a little as it fully dries (becoming yellower). In fact I've just checked my swatch (which is on Clairefontaine) and it's yellower still.

Here's an additional clue. A nice big clue for once (and a very quick and rough one too)!

And we have a winner!!! Well done Yazeh

I thought someone would go for Montblanc straight away, given my acknowledged fondness for their inks (and given the huge clue of the old 82 in the picture!)

It's a fabulous ink, and it smells absolutely divine (but I love Vetiver anyway) - the scent as you write is genuinely uplifting.

    I’m late! Nice work Yazeh!
That looks like a fun ink, and now I’ve properly learned what Vetiver is.
Congratulations to your daughter and wishes for the best of health to your family mizgeorge!

Thank you, mizgeorge, for sharing this ink with us. I am a huge fan of Montblanc inks, although I can't afford many of them.

    And well done Yazeh!
