Oblation Pens and Ink is a small brick and mortar store located in Portland, Oregon. I had the opportunity to visit them last week when I was in Oregon. I am a huge supporter of small businesses, so the least I could do is by their signature ink. They also have an online shop.

Oblation Olive is actually made by Papier Plume for them and a signature ink. The bottle has PP's distinctive wax seal.

The shop itself is relatively small, but has a wide assortment of nice fountain pens and inks, along with Japanese notebooks, washi tapes and other supplies. They also make their own handmade paper. The owners are very helpful. This is a shop that I will visit both online and in the store itself.

Thanks so much @Dr.P f for this challenge. Really enjoyed and bravo to OBP.....
Dr P thanks for the info. You read my mind. Like most of us here, I like small businesses.
Have you tried/ used their handmade paper? They seem very intriguing....

Congrats to the little Jedi from the flat country

And thank you very much DrPenfection - a new one to me too and what a lovely looking store it is! I like the ink very much as well - and as already said, kudos to any small business managing to keep its head above water right now.

No, when I visited my time was limited. I quickly purchased the ink and the new TWSBI 580AL Navy, and had to leave. But the handmade paper does look interesting. I imagine, like many handmade papers, it may not be fountain pen friendly, but who knows. When I travel back to Portland, I plan to spend a bit more time in the shop and will likely purchase some of their paper. Their press is onsite and the owner promised a tour next time I come.

    Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiii!

Hahahahaha. I had never heard of that ink before, but luckily my Google skills are intact. Thank you, DrPenfection, that was a good one Nice ink with a lovely story to boot.

The ink I picked doesn't have a cute little story, so I thought I'd make up for it with a cute little drawing.
    Full disclosure:
    - the Pelikan pen I used has a broken piston, so I dipped it in the ink, making it a little darker than you'd get from an inked pen. The swatch is truer in color as are the ears and the nose, which I colored in with a Q-tip.
    - we're not looking for the ink I used for the hair and the face (same brown ink, but a bit watered down) but if you want to guess than one too, more power to you!
    - The paper is Hobonichi.

That's it as far as tips go for now. As the French say: bonne merde!

There's no shimmer or glitter in this ink.
And it's none of the inks above.

Lovely inks, especially Turkish blue (it's one of my current favorites), but alas, not the one in the picture.

I am glad someone did. Truthfully, I was a bit surprised that the ink was guessed so quickly since the pen store is relatively new and not very well known. But I am glad because it gave me a chance to "plug" the store a little.
