    Octopus Karamell

(Interesting. "Geduld" is also used in Dutch )

    Or.... Noodler's Antietam
Monteverde Copper Noir comes to mind too.

That's all I have for now.

    Wiiiiiiiiiiiiii!
(or, I'm just really lucky and Diamine Ancient Copper is one of those inks I always have in at least one pen. I love it, although I know not every here shares that sentiment. *cough* Mizgeorge *cough*)

Okay, I think I've got an ink in mind. And I didn't pick a blue one this time. (I know, I'm as shocked as you all are)

"Geduld", as they say around here.

Today I drove almost to Hungary or Slovakia or Czechia, depending on which was you turn when you leave Austria, to what seems to be the only shop around here that sells Lopi wool. I needed some new patterns, and after not having been driven for 6 weeks or so (that's another story...) the car battery needed a good charge. So that's my excuse for making you good people wait to pounce on my "unknown" ink. Locally sold Brussels Sprouts also come from that part of Austria (Burgenland) that was once Hungary. I never understand why the bits where the sprouts are cut off the stalk are always brown, except by assuming that they travel by foot.

    David
Lopi wool and Brussel sprouts...that must have been some adventure...for a second I thought you were in cohort with Obi wan Penobi having fries together and discussing inks and wool

Considering I'm in the same time zone as david, who is (by Canadian standards ) a mere hop and a skip away, it is well after sundown here too, so these pictures were taken in artificial light, with my crappy phone to boot. If this proves too hard for you boys and girls, I'll post daylight pictures in the morrow.

The paper is Clairefontaine, the pen a Merlin 33.

This is on Tomoe River. Keep in mind that the paper is a little more off-white than Clairefontaine.

And this is the swatch, which will probably be most useful.

If I didn't know better, I'd say it was Launceston Fog.

So I'll stay in the Antipodes and go with Robert Oster Astorquiza Olive

Just doing my usual swoop & scoop!

Baby Prior is very well, thank you. Just hit the four months mark and sleeping a solid 12 hours every night. I'm sure we're in for a (literal) rude awakening soon, but we'll take the restful nights while we can.

Very apt hockey reference for another Canadian! Thank you, thank you. (Pronoun: He).

Hmm, let me get a quick a sample up before I have to go home and change a dirty diaper....

I don't know how to use my phone camera it would appear. The white paper looks very very very blue in these shots. I might try to find a scanner...IMG_20211012_1629114.jpgIMG_20211012_1629243.jpg

And here is a low quality scan. I remembered why I stopped playing guess-the-ink: all my sample were intentionally unguessable! Capture 2.JPG
