Wow! When I saw the name, I of course thought of Pilot Iro Momiji. And you are correct, mizgeorge, your sample is very different from the Pilot ink.

Wow! When I saw the name, I of course thought of Pilot Iro Momiji. And you are correct, mizgeorge, your sample is very different from the Pilot ink.

I guess the difference is a matter of just days in a way - the acer palmatum goes from brownish yellow to very red (though I've never thought the Pilot version was that accurate!) pretty quickly once it starts to change! Interesting how differently it's been interpreted on this one though.

It's a very cold day today. But nothing compared to what will be face over night. (-38°C).

Thankfully it'll last but one day. We haven't had as much as snow as before, so we'll see which plants will survive....

I thought a muted colour, would be nice. I know some of you like gentle colours.
