I suppose it's bad form to guess before you post the sample...

Jens why don't you a photo of it now and then an after, so we can appreciate the oxidization?

    Guess!

No, it doesn't seem fair to Jens really.

That's not fair to me either?
But fair enough, I removed mine. I'll be patient

    ... finally our next game.

An ink practically unknown, but available here and offered for FPs.
A strong ig ink like ESSRI or DRI but even less blueish.
More a black then a blue-black, a tiny bit of purple.

And how it looks aged two days (left) and fresh (right):

    Best
    Jens

PS: Not by Pharmacist's. Does he still offer inks?
PS2: No problem with blind guesses :-) Anyway I was expecting the ink to loose more of it's color...

Jens I don't know about the pharmacist.
This seems like a lovely colour. It reminds me of a deep Scabiosa....

Yes, looks like deep Scabiosa. :-)
Not a MB or Hero ink.
Hint: Made here in Germany. So not one of the less known italian or swiss ig inks.

This is a long shot, but as you say it's rare, could it be Gutenberg Urkundentinte?

I was going to say it wouldn't be fair on me if I couldn't get online once Jens had posted and someone made the guess before me, and behold! Not been able to get here all day, then pipped by minutes. Ah well, them's the breaks. It may yet be wrong.

    No, not Gutenberg Urkundentinte G10.
    But Gutenberg sells this one.

Jens when all this is said and done, if you have the time for a short review or even posting your sample pages on Gutenberg inks, in the ink reviews, would be much appreciated

If I knew of any other Gutenberg ink at all, I would indeed.

Gutenberg Urkundentinte G10 is offered by Läufer Gutenberg - this one came from the shop of Gutenberg foundation.
I don't know who made this ink for them.
They also have an even stronger ig ink for dip pens, without any dye. It is labeled "Bach's Tinten"...
