Well on to the next ink then
Today its a Red - and no , any clues will not be set to Taylor Swift's "Red" this time
IMG_1260guess_the_ink.jpg
A solid red , vivid and well saturated - maybe with a touch of pink
Some shading and very rarely maybe a bit of green sheen at the edges , but not in my sample above
Much lighter with a Stub than a medium - flow is slightly more wetter than its dry , but not a gusher , just a well behaved red
Let's start with Diamine Red Dragon
That variation in tone is insane.
I'm going with a wildcard: Birmingham Inks Fred Rogers Cardigan Red
Vintage. Cursive italic. Iron gall.
Very well. What about GvFC Garnet red?
Garnet red looks like its darker and has more purple in it
Right continent but its not by GvFC
Diamine Burgundy Rose
Edelstein Garnet
Vintage. Cursive italic. Iron gall.
The Diamine Brugundy Rose is much darker , and also closer to purple , The Edelstein Garnet is much closer in shade to my ink , a great guess
But this ink is not a Diamine or Pelikan one
MB Corn Poppy
No , Corn Poppy is pretty close in colour but its not Mont Blanc
KWZ Thief's Red?
Running out of ideas, but I'll have a last throw of the dice: De Atramentis Poppy Red?
Vintage. Cursive italic. Iron gall.
And I will try Herbin Rouge Hematite
Neither De Atrementis or J Herbin
It is a well established ink which changed its name a few years ago
What a hint! I know, I know! But my lips are sealed since I want somebody else to participate
Noodlers's Widow Maker?
