It’s more a dusty muted pink that leans very slightly to blue, but definitely not as ‘juicy’ as Cassis.

Well done - that didn’t take long 🙂. Conklin Vintage Dusty Rose is a very nice ink; well-behaved & just about different enough from the closest colours I own to justify my purchase.

Thank you, migo984. Great minds think alike. I purchased a bottle of Dusty Rose a couple of months ago. I was planning to do a 'guess the ink' with this one sometime soon. But I guess I won't now.

Well done DrPenfection - I wouldn't have got there - despite having been looking at this range only a couple of days ago!

This next ink should not be difficult at all.

    Here is the scan:

And here is the swatch from my ink book:

    ink swatch.jpg

The writing sample, ink smear and ink drop were done on Exacompta Bloc Pad (white paper) and written with a Lamy Studio Wild Rubin with a 14k M nib.

The swatch was done on 52 gsm Tomoe River paper (off white paper) - no shimmer but some sheen.

Another interesting red/burgundy! This one looks so familiar to me but I can't quite place it... kind of like when a word is on the tip of the tongue... so I'll start with Sailor Manyo Kuzu, even though it doesn't feel quite right.

And she swoops and catches it on the first try!!!!!! Darla has earned the SUPER SWOOPER title!

    Well done, Darla!

Yes, this ink is Sailor Manyo Kuzu! Kuzu isn't very remarkable on the Exacompta paper. It is much better on Clairfontaine or Tomoe River, showing its sheen in all of its glory.

It is back to you, Darla!
