Rotring 600 help
Hi I bought a Rotring 600 and love it and want to use it at work but am worried about the tip bending in my pocket or poking me. Does a leather pen sleeve prevent the tip from getting bent or will it just poke straight through the leather? Thanks.

Re: Rotring 600 help
Hi William,
The Rotring 600 is a fine writing instrument. Some people swear it's the best economical mechanical pencil value. It's a rock-solid performer. But yes, that fixed sleeve is a weak point. It can get bent if you drop the pencil. If you buy a pencil/pen case where the clip can be used to secure the pencil in place, it should protect the point. As a backup, you can put a piece of packing peanut at the bottom of the case to help protect the pencil in case it is dislodged. Lastly, you can try finding a cap from a cheap ballpoint that might fit the end of the Rotring 600 and then trim it to fit easier.
Good luck!
