Hello from just northeast of the Deepwater Horizon Well site
I have been interested in pens for many years but only recently started accumulating a variety. I find I like the Asian pens more than most US pens- yes I am talking aoubt the old ones- but am now beginniing to look at European pens and am trying to learn something about them before I make my first buying decision.
Meanwhile, I live in Gulf Shores, AL, which you may have seen mentioned in some of the press about the oilspill. So far, nothing has hit our beaches except for a few 'tar balls' which we have had off and on since I have been around here, which means back to the early 50's.

Tberry010, Welcome! We're glad to have ya.
So you've just started accumulating or you haven't made your first purchase yet? I'm a little confused.
I started collecting about a year and a half ago my tastes have changed drastically over that time period. It started out with modern (briefly), then vintage, and then up until about a month ago it started swinging back to high end (for me) modern pens. The core of my collection is still vintage, and probably always will be, buy you never know. To really find out what you're going to like you almost just need to start buying pens based of research you've done, ues them, sell them, and try something else. If you need help with any of that I'm sure there are several of us around here that would be of great assistance.
