I've been tempted to get a Al Sport for a while however I find myself thinking the the nib looks too small for the width of the section every time I go to buy one. Is it possible to fit a bigger nib?

you can check it out using a 10.00 digital caliper from Harbor Freight. then measure both nibs at the base to see if they are the Same?

I don't have a problem with the size of the nib in any of my Kaweco Sport pens. They all look fine and write well. I don't think you could easily fit a bigger nib.
If you don't like the look of the nib then maybe the Sport just isn't the pen for you.

You definitely won't be able to go from a #5 (5mm feed) to a #6 (6mm feed). Even sticking with a #5, probably not. There won't be enough room in the end of the cap for a longer nib.
Kaweco uses a Bock 060. You can look at the various measurements/dimensions of their nibs HERE.
Happened to have a Bock 180 nib assembly handy (the larger "normal" #5) and dug out the Al Sport to try it - the housing is a straight swap, but as I feared and dneal predicted, the bigger nib hits the inside of the cap before the cap threads are even engaged. So that's a no go I'm afraid, TP.
If you're looking into a 'pocket' Kaweco with a #6 nib, the Supra (brass) has a mid section that can be removed.
