    I know it is not quite the same, but Pilot do still make a rosewood pencil today!
    It is the Pilot S20... styling isn't quite the same though

    That S20 indeed gives a nice wood feel to fingers. The there is a nice pair of ball point and mechanical pencil, Mitsubishi Pure Malt Oakwood Premium Edition, wood recycled from old whisky barrels, had to get both. The mechanical pencil:
