Got my 2017 Techo yesterday. It somehow went from Japan to Atlantic Canada in 4 days. I got the Japanese edition because it was cheaper and the royal blue cover (and it is a lovely deep electric blue shade, by the way). I ordered from the 1101 store because, after comparing prices from there, Wonder Pens, and Jetpens, it was the lowest (and I got a free multipen!), and seriously - four days for shipping? I wasn't expecting it to arrive so early.

Having said I wouldn't buy another cover, I'm really tempted by the canvas zipper cover...

But it is available, although in a different colour: http://www.1101.com/store/techo/pc/e...nvasivory.html

I just saw that Franklin Christoph has a leather A5 cover - I had thought they stopped at A6. That looks tempting.

I think I'm interested in the larger cousin model of Hobo, but I'm trying to get a handle on the price in English. The Techno is around $35 from Jet pens, so the cousin is about how much? I'd be ordering from the 1101 store. Thanks in advance everyone.

I have a 2017 January start Cousin that I have not used and have decided not to use I would sell it for $35 including shipping in the US if you are interested.

Do you remember what you paid originally for the cousin Hans ? If the techno is $35 I'm thinking the cousin is probably around $60 US

I just looked back in my email history, I ordered the Cousin last September when they first became available and paid 6,180 yen which at today's exchange would be $54.59 including shipping. I used the Cousin through 2016 and enjoyed it and had planned on using it in 2017. However I changed my mind and have decided to consolidate several notebooks into one bullet journal so I never used the 2017 Cousin. I'll see how this works in 2017, never know may go back to the Cousin next year.

You may want to try one of the Fauxmidori A5 covers with A5 Tomoe River refills for your bullet all.in.one

I'm currently using a Taroko Mystique A5 notebook in the same Galen leather cover I used with the Hobonichi. So far I am liking the notebook it has 352 pages of 80gsm paper. Works well with my fountain pens although I use fine and medium nibs.

Ruling is 5mm dot grid with a 3 page index at the beginning, pages are not numbered. You can find the store on Etsy. It is a thicker notebook than the Hobonichi due to the pages not being tomoe river paper.

I currently changed to the hobo half way thru the year and really like it. I'm looking for a cover though. And I don't think I want to order from Japan. Any ideas in North America. Jet pens don't have any separate covers at the moment. Thank You.

Look on Etsy. Search for 'Hobonichi cover'. There will likely be hundreds of covers to choose from on there, in all kinds of styles & materials, from leather to fabric.

I am, though I won't buy a new cover. I did try the Weeks--it's okay, but I'm something of a fan of the Quo Vadis calendar for my everyday calendar. I use my Hobo for a sort of "this is what I did today" record.
