Working on some writing tonight, thought before I started I would show my glorious InCoWriMo "inbox" so far, along with the goodies that arrived from Goulet Oens and other far less interesting sources. Some Crane, G. Lalo, Crown Mill, wax, and blotter paper sheets.

Hey there Tracy Lee! Got your letter today! Many thanks. The thing is this: I am beginning to get enough mails so that I don't have to look for addresses anymore. I had filled out my calendar to about Feb. 16th, but by then I had gotten so many nice notes, cards and letters that in just answering them I was doing my duty for the day! Cool. So now to sit down tonight and write Tracy Lee, and Brad, and Ivan, and Bill, and ...

Yep there is just this slight difference between magenta and green, LOL!

It's more likely Eric coming back from spending a whole 2nd quarter in Mexico and having another one of his darn cool ideas. Very creative chap, with his fingers, as usual, on the pulse of fountain pen geeks everywhere. It's the simple ideas that are the most effective, don't you think Tracy?

I could not have captured that better if I had tried. In the craziness that has become life for many of us, simple is a welcome respite. I have mentally hugged Eric for this wisdom on multiple occasions, but try not to overshare on that.

Wow, that was fast, I dropped that in the mail yesterday.

International correspondence to everyone that has written me from outside the US should go out as soon as I receive my round globe international forever stamps. I placed my order for them today but had them shipped since I can't make it to the post office before they close. I also have a couple of domestic letters to go out but I also ran out of domestic stampage. Ordered the just released today muscle car stamps.

Why is it that when I look at the cancellations/dates the letters were written that the post office seem to be getting mail to its destination in record time but when I mail a letter at any other time it takes almost 2 weeks to get to the other side of the country?

I've been writing every day, and I've sent 214 pieces of mail this month, so far. I have lots of penfriends, and my postcard project, and other mail projects, so the amount of mail isn't really that much different for me. It is just that I've been trying to respond to incoming within a week, when I usually take an average of 32 days for turnaround. I still have many FPGeeks on my "to write" list and I'm going to try to get those all out within the week. I will go back to my usual turnaround at the end of the month, and I never leave a letter/note/postcard unanswered, even it takes months and months for the reply to go out.

This has been such fun! I am so glad someone posted a comment (which was a bit misleading, but maybe just a misunderstanding) in the Month of Letter Forum about InCoWriMo, and I followed the link and discovered so many people eager to share pen and ink.
I enjoyed InCoWriMo very much in 2013, but I got a bit overwhelmed. I'll be reading the forum in 2014, but not actively participating.
